First Day Jitters

On the first day of my summer mentorship... I was extremely nervous. I was going to be conducting practice for the BPHS JV Girl's Basketball team. I was nervous because I felt like the girls weren't going to respect my authority, since I'm only about a year older than most of them. Luckily, the girls were extemely respectful and treated me just as they would treat their usual coach. I ran practice just as my Varsity practice is run, and although the girls were very tired by the end of practice, they were pleased with the great workout they got. When I got home that day I felt extremely silly for being nervous, considering how familiar I am with the sport and how familiar I am with speaking in front of groups.
